Shirley Youth Baseball honors Bob Eramo with bench dedication

By Michael James LeClair SHIRLEY – For years, the name Bob Eramo was synonymous with Shirley Youth Baseball and Softball. The longtime coach and president of Shirley league passed away suddenly in September of 2020. Later that year the league announced the Bob Eramo Service Award to be given yearly to an individual their dedication and commitment to the Shirley Youth Baseball and Softball League. On August 8, the league, spearheaded by 2020 Eramo Service Award winner and current concession stand director Amy Lombardo, honored Eramo with a bench dedication at the Burt Cofman Memorial Field.
